The Noise Ordinance was enacted in 2008 as an effort to keep our Township from negative growth with the rights in mind of people to a peaceful environment that most come here for. Some of the activities prohibited are: Wind Turbines, Motorized Race Tracks (included are ATV/dirt bike tracks), Commercial Amusements, Motorized Sawmills, Barking Dogs, Loud Music, Outdoor Shooting Ranges, Fireworks (other that the 4th of July), Jake Brakes (in certain areas), All other noisy activities above 65db's. We ask that people respect other people and rights they are entitled to.

FEMA's Flood Plain Ordinance: A special permit is required by FEMA and enforced by Heath Township to build anything along the Clarion River. (Lots of Red Tape), Contact Heath Twp. 752-2972

DEP's Holding Tank Ordinance: Allows only commercial businesses to construct an approved sewage holding tank. It also requires proof that it is pumped at least annually. Call the Sewage Enforcement Officer for details. (814-849-2172)

Also the DEP's Storm Water Management Ordinance Requires new construction to have a study done and plan for holding back storm water run off. This is done by sloping the driveway / parking areas the right way, divits placed on the property and French drains put around all new buildings including any size "storage sheds" and garages.
